City Projects

Beginning Monday evening, October 28, 2024 Action Safety will be striping in the areas of NW 12th St from I-35 to Santa Fe Ave and NW 27th St from I-35 to Santa Fe Ave.  The striping will occur from 8:00 pm to 6:00 am.  The project should be completed in 10-14 days weather permitting.

UPDATE 10/24/2024: Beginning Monday, October 28, the jersey barriers will be removed on Bryant.  Channel work will begin on the west side of Bryant, therefore crews must again close Bryant while work is being completed.  Completion date is first quarter of 2025, weather permitting.

UPDATE 10/1/2024: Jersey barriers were setup to open southbound only traffic on Bryant. Crews will start on the east side of the creek mid-week and complete that side before moving to the west side.

UPDATE 08/26/24: There is a delay in opening Bryant Ave to SE 4th St. The heavy rains received over the past 6 weeks have caused the bottom of the channel to become unstable due to the continued inflow of groundwater from the bottom and sides of the channel.  A stable bottom is necessary to support the structural improvements. The design engineer is working on a solution to address the groundwater inflow. Once the solution is finalized an update will be posted here.  Also, once we have a completion date, we will update it here.

Beginning Wednesday, May 22, 2024, Bryant Ave will be closed from Parkway Dr. to SE 4th St. This will be a construction of drainage improvements on the east side of Bryant Ave.

UPDATE: 10/30/2024 The first phase of NE 27th St has been completed.  The striping was completed on 10/29/2024.

UPDATE: 10/28/2024 Crews will not be working on this project this week due to the anticipated rain moving in.  Work will be delayed by 1 week, weather permitting.

Beginning Oct. 1, crews will be repairing portions of NE 27th street, between N. Eastern and S. Bryant. The street will remain passable but expect delays. Access to NE 27th from the neighborhoods will be closed at various times throughout the project. Residents are asked to use Eastern and Bryant during those times. Work is expected to take approximately 6 weeks, weather permitting.

07/23/2024  Beginning Tuesday evening after 8:00pm, the Contractor performing the construction for the Widening of 149th Street in OKC from Santa Fe to Western will be closing lanes at the intersection of SW 19th St. and Santa Fe Ave. in Moore.  For Westbound traffic at the intersection, the existing left turn lane will be closed.  The existing westbound thru lane will be used for thru traffic as well as the left turn lane for traffic turning south during construction.  For Eastbound traffic at the intersection, the existing left turn lane will be closed.  The existing outside eastbound lane will be used for thru traffic as well as the left turn lane for traffic turning north.  The existing inside eastbound lane will now become the westbound lane for thru traffic.  Double yellow striping will separate the eastbound and westbound traffic west of the intersection during construction.  It is anticipated that construction will take approximately 8 months to complete.  Any questions regarding the project should be addressed with the OKC Project Construction Manager at 405-297-3732 or [email protected]

08/19/2024 UPDATE: Beginning Wednesday, August 21, 2024 Westmore Dr will be closed until May 2025.  The project construction manager has recognized potential safety concerns and has advised the City of Moore to close the street.

Construction of concrete flatwork, site signage, and the purchase and installation of benches and tables.
