The Department of Capital Planning and Resiliency administers several different grant programs for The City of Moore such as Community Development Block Grant – Entitlement and Community Development Block Group – Disaster Recovery, Oklahoma Recreational Trail Grant, and the ACOG Clean Cities Grant.

Community Development Block Grant – Disaster Recovery

The City of Moore has received Community Development Block Grant Disaster Recovery (CDBG-DR) funds from the U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development (HUD). CDBG-DR funds support a broad range of community projects to address unmet long term recovery needs in the May 2013 disaster area. The Disaster Recovery funds aid in long-term tornado recovery efforts. The City with resident and committee input has completed an Action Plan that guides the spending and projects related to these funds.

Community Development Block Grant – Entitlement

According to the Department of Housing and Urban Development, The Community Development Block Grant (CDBG) Entitlement Program provides annual grants on a formula basis to entitled cities and counties to develop viable urban communities by providing decent housing and a suitable living environment, and by expanding economic opportunities, principally for low- and moderate-income persons. The program is authorized under Title 1 of the Housing and Community Development Act of 1974, Public Law 93-383, as amended; 42 U.S.C.-5301 et seq.
